Finisher starts at Playwrights Workshop Montreal

Following fieldwork in Vancouver and Calgary, Applied Silence spent the bounteous week of February 3 to 8 hiding from deep freeze and global hellscape, developing new work under the auspices of Playwrights Workshop Montreal. We made sundry sounds in the studio with fellow artists Ben Brown, Michael Feuerstack, Holly Gauthier-Frankel, and Nicolas Royer-Artuso. The PWM residency marks our maiden voyage to the world of Finisher, a song cycle about labour on land and sea, family-making and-breaking, and migration. More soon to come.
